The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer feels robust to the touch, with some weigh to it that just adds to the feel of quality. The gigantic LCD display is the first thing that draw your attention. It is perfect to read out the measurements without any strain to the eyes.
With just one button, to power on and off, it is really is a nobrainer. After pressing the button a few times the impression it give is that it is well built and the button wont just snap off.

Speed and Accuracy
The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer makes reading at an impressive speed of less than 10 second, and in our own tests being at less than 8 seconds most of the time.
You just turn on the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer using the only button that exists, and wait for the beep that should take less than a second to happen. The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer is now ready to take a measurement. There is absolutely no need to have your mobile phone with you to take measurements!
Please the Thermoemeter in the region where the measurement is to take place (obviously following the recommended practices for each of the regions) and wait for the second beep, that happens around 8 seconds later. That is it, the measurement is now displayed on the big LCD along with a smiley face that indicates whether the reading is good or bad.
The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer display is really big, easy to read and really well illuminated. There are however upsides and downsides to this.
Being big and well illuminated, it is really practical for people that require reading aids. The letters are big and apart from a smiley face the helps with understanding the ready, there is really nothing else on the screen to make confusion.
On the other hand, it is big enough that it can be a bit impractical with taking an oral reading for example. Although it is not that heavy at all, it is heavy enough that it requires a helping hand to hold the thermometer in place.
Connectivity between the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer and the mobile phone is done through the use of Low Power Bluetooth.
The setup process was quite easy and fast on our Android device, but the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer is also compatible with Iphones as described on the technical specs above.
The Kinsa Software is, in our opinion, one of the best, and is also compatible with all other smart Thermometers from the Kinsa family, which means that measurements taken from many Kinsa Thermometers get consolidated in the same software. It is just really convenient!
The Kinsa Software allows the creation of multiple profiles, for each of the elements of the household, and keep track of not only the measurements, but also other notes you might want to take, such as medications, symptoms, etc.
The Kinsa Software, based on the measurements, profile information and symptoms described will also offers you guidance.
There is no sound alarm for a feverish measurement, but there is a visual indicator on the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer display: a sad smiley face.
TThe Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer comes with a small zipped pouch for convenience of storage. It is not a protective case, but is a good addition for storage.
The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer comes with a small zipped pouch for convenience of storage. It is not a protective case, but is a good addition for storage.
The overall material quality of the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer is well above average. It feels sturdy and give the impression that it will last. The rubbery feel also makes it really comfortable to hold.
It is also worth mentioning that the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer although not waterproof, it is water resistant.
It is also possible to configure the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer measurement units for both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
The manual provided with the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer is small but clear. It provides all necessary explanations as to how to configure the thermometer with a mobile phone and also provides clear instructions on how to perform measurements in each of the recommended body regions.
The Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer is one of the best smart thermometers for armpit, oral and rectal measurements there is. You can feel and see the quality of the product. The manufacturer clearly improved on the older model Kinsa Smart Stick with the feedback received from the users.
